TableEdge is a table games publication. We write about mahjong, go, chess and classic casino games — not as trivia, but as systems with a history and a logic worth understanding before you play.
Most rule explanations stop at "how to play." We start one step earlier: why the rule exists at all. Why does a scoring convention differ by region, why does a wheel have the pocket count it has, why does a strategy actually work mathematically rather than by superstition. We'd rather get the history right than publish something quick.
Every article is grounded in primary sources where they exist — historical records, published odds tables, documented rule variants — and corrected when we get something wrong.
